- NO alcohol or caffeine 24hrs before the procedure. These both act as blood thinners and heighten sensitivity, causing more discomfort during the procedure as well as potentially pushing pigment out with the bleeding.
- Avoid tanning or extended sun exposure for at least 4 weeks prior to the procedure. This allows me to see your true skin tone and match your color accurately to help ensure seamless results.
- Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin B3, Fish Oil supplements, or any form of pain medication 24hrs before the procedure. These medications can also act as blood thinners.
- Discontinue any products containing AHAs, Retin-A, or any other rapid exfoliators 2 weeks before and after the procedure. These products will interfere with pigment retention.
- Please arrive to your appointment with clean, hydrated skin. For most procedures, you will not be able to shower normally for at least the 24hrs following the procedure so it’s always best to shower the morning of.
