Improve Scars & Stretch Marks with Inkless Revision
What Is It?
Inkless Scar/Stretch Mark Revision (ISR) is a restorative paramedical tattooing technique used to improve the texture, depth, & color of scars & stretch marks without the use of pigment. At our Fair Oaks studio, we use specialized medical grade serums & gentle needling techniques to trigger the body’s natural healing response, activating the production of collagen, elastin, & melanin.
How Does It Work?
By creating precise micro-channels & depositing a medical grade, restorative serum into the skin, we stimulate the area to remodel itself. This often results in a softer, flatter, smoother texture & a more natural skin tone. It is a preferred choice for those looking for a pigment-free way to minimize the appearance of imperfections.

Inkless vs. Camouflage: Which is right for me?
Generally, if the goal is to fix the texture and depth of the scar or stretch marks, we start with Inkless Revision. If the goal is purely to hide the color of a flat, white scar, Scar or Stretch Mark Camouflage may be the better path. During your consultation, we will assess your skin to determine the best treatment plan for your skin.
Am I a Candidate for Inkless Revision?
ISR is highly effective for:
• Textured Scars: Scars that are raised, indented, or have a textured appearance. The majority of these scars respond well to treatment, however depending on the severity, some scars may not be suited for this procedure. A consultation is required to ensure that treatment is safe for you.
• Stretch Marks: Inkless Revision is particularly effective on stretch marks due to the thinner collagen type. Both old and new stretch marks can see significant improvement in as little as 1 session.
• All Skin Tones: Because this method works with your body’s natural healing rather than added pigment, it is a highly effective and safe option for all skin tones, including melanin-rich skin, without the risk of color shifting or hyperpigmentation.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Because every body heals differently, it is not possible to accurately predict the exact number of sessions required for full results. While some of our clients notice a visible improvement after just one session, a series of 2–4 treatments is a common range for optimal results. During your follow-up appointments, we will assess your skin’s specific progress and adjust your personalized plan accordingly.
