What is it?
3D areola restoration is a specialized paramedical tattooing procedure designed to recreate the natural look of the areola after mastectomy, breast reconstruction, or gender affirming surgeries. Using advanced shading and color techniques, we create a realistic, three-dimensional appearance that restores both balance and confidence. This procedure is tailored to each individual’s body and healing journey, offering results that look natural and feel empowering.
Who is this procedure for?
This service is ideal for breast cancer survivors who have undergone mastectomy or reconstruction, individuals who’ve have undergone gender affirming surgery, or anyone who wants to restore or enhance the look of their areolas.
How realistic will the results look?
The areolas will look incredibly realistic. A three-dimensional affect is created using an advanced shading and color technique to mimic natural areola texture and depth, and the optical illusion of protrusion of the nipple.
How soon after surgery can I have this done?
You’ll need to be fully healed from surgery — usually at least 6 months — and cleared by your doctor before scheduling.
Will I need more than one session?
This procedure is done in 2 sessions. After your initial appointment, you will come back in 6-8 weeks for a touch up to address any adjustments that need to be made to size and/or color and dial in any details that may have been lost during the initial healing process.
Does it hurt?
In most cases patients have experienced minimal discomfort. During the procedure, a numbing agent is applied to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible.
