What Is it?
Camouflage is a paramedical procedure that blends discolored scars and stretch marks into the surrounding skin using custom pigments. It’s not traditional tattooing — the goal is to make the area less visible, not to decorate it.
How Does It Work?
Using expert color matching techniques, each client’s pigment is custom matched to their exact skin tone and implanted just below the surface of the skin. This allows the light to reflect off of the pigment and create a more natural looking result.
Am I a candidate for scar or stretch mark camouflage?
Scars must be fully healed (usually 18–24 months old), stable in color and texture, and not raised or red. Stretch marks should be fully healed and softened.
How Long Does It Take To Heal?
Typical healing time is 8-12 weeks to allow time for the pigment to fully settle. This will allow your artist to assess how well your skin retains pigment and if any adjustments need to be made to your formula.
How many sessions will I need?
Every scar is different so no two treatments will look the same. But typically, most clients require at least 2-3 sessions to achieve full results.
Does it hurt?
It’s generally well tolerated — think more “mild sunburn” than “tattoo needle.” I check in with you throughout the process and can adjust if you’re extra sensitive. Numbing options are available if needed to keep you comfortable.
Is it permanent?
It’s considered permanent, but nothing done to skin lasts forever. Your results will soften over time due to aging, sun exposure, and skin turnover. Most clients don’t need a touch-up for years.
