Camouflage is a paramedical procedure that blends discolored scars and stretch marks into the surrounding skin using custom pigments. It’s not traditional tattooing — the goal is to make the area blend seamlessly, not to decorate it.
It’s generally well tolerated. Most people report mild discomfort. Think more ‘surface irritation’ than ‘deep needlework. I check in with you throughout the process and can adjust if you’re extra sensitive.
On average, the color may begin to fade in 5-7 years depending on various factors (such as, sun exposure, physical activity, genetics, etc.) though the color will never completely fade away.
Regular touch-ups are recommended for most procedures.
Most clients need 2–3 sessions, spaced 8–12 weeks apart. Skin needs time to fully heal and show true results before we decide what the next layer needs.
While then tattoo itself does not tan, the skin underneath it does, giving you much less contrast than you had prior to the procedure.
Camouflage uses pigment to visually blend discoloration. Inkless revision uses serums and a dry needle technique to stimulate collagen production and improve texture — no color added.
Every scar, stretch mark, and skin tone is different. Consults allow me to evaluate your skin, talk through goals, and make sure the treatment is right for you before we move forward.
